Center for Wooden Boats

The Center for Wooden Boats is a not-for-profit membership and volunteer organization devoted to preserving the skills of wooden boatbuilding and small craft handling. Located on the southern shore of Seattle’s Lake Union, CWB offers boatbuilding classes for individuals and families, novice to expert. The collection of more than 100 wooden vessels ranges from small catboats to vessels up to 40 feet long. The boatbuilding skills of native peoples are honored with several canoe and small boat projects. And free public sails are offered on Sundays. Click the link below to learn more about the Center.
